Children's Rights Camp Toolkit
When the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on November 20, 1989, they committed to do everything in their power to promote and protect children’s rights. Although the United States was a major author of the CRC, the United States remains the only country in the world that has NOT ratified the Convention - at a time when children’s rights are at grave risk at home and abroad.

What is the Children's Rights Camp (CRCamp)?
The goal of the Children’s Rights Camp is to address the fundamental question,
“Are children’s rights protected in Los Angeles?”
To accomplish our goal, the Student Task Force is hosting the Children’s Rights Camp – a series of walk-through tents to guide individuals through various children's rights issues articulated in the CRC. The Camp will educate and identify how international children’s rights are respected or overlooked in our communities, and it will provide actions that promote the protection of children's rights in Los Angeles (and around the world). The Camp will highlight the relevant local issues outlined below.
